The band was formed in the end of 2021 from two musicians who have over 10 years of experience in different bands and genres. Kirill Diakov, vocalist and songwriter, has been singing and composing in bands of dark experimental, new wave, gothic rock and jazz genres. Maxim Karaganov, multi-instrumentalist, continues his parallel work in a dream-pop band. The musicians teamed up to create a concept album about the crisis of relationships whether its interpersonal or intrapersonal. This is a poem, a story told in the first person of each of the characters who bring their experiences out to the public. The musical component is the cold sound of a drum machine, along with catchy guitar hooks, as well as arrangements unusual for the synth-pop genre. Kalim & Marim is an EP about music, no big story behind it except passion for sound textures and audio travelling... Recorded in 2019 and 2020, it includes many instruments, from many loops of Kalimba & Marimba (That gave the name to the EP), to guitars, bass guitars, percussions of all types, clarinet by Walass, random samples and synthesizers.  «Glassy and woody textures are emphasized, recalling waters and forests, my favorite environments. For the funny story Leu Grouve was recorded on Walass’s studio, in a houseboat on La Garonne river in Bordeaux, France, really close to the water surface, hearing droplets and seagulls while the sun was setting. A magical moment we spent jamming with anything we could use in the small studio!! It’s also one of my first works going up in BPM throughout the track (from 85-86 to 100BPM). Ambiantik is obviously an ambient track, cosy and organically textured, mixing ancient instruments from different parts of the world (ambient + antique). Moa Tren will take you on an intercontinental aerial train, with mouth blown percussions and cloudy atmospheres. At last Kalim & Marim is a swingy tune, super innocent, with a happy mood I am not so used too.» The release incl two remixes from our beloved friends who added their recognizable sound — Ohxalá made Leu Grouve even more groove and dance, and MAUGLI give a deep slowly instrumental version of the Moa Tren.
